Boe Beauty Matte Lip Cream

I got this from my mom since she didn't like the color. It's a gift from my mom's friend in Australia who came here to visit.

And just like a lip gloss, it comes in a doe foot applicator which is probably unhygienic for some.

The shade reminds me of the famous Nyx Matte Lip Cream in Addis Ababa. As you can see it is very pigmented and has fine shimmers. I've had my share of glittery "lippies" and the specks are so itchy that I end up with bee stung lips.  Warning: Never ever use craft store glitter for your eyes and cheeks, they are cut sharper and can damage your eyes. The texture is buttery. It glides smoothly upon application. The formula is okay for me. It goes on matte, yet it is quite forgiving on the lips as it is enriched with Vitamin E - no dryness, minimal clumping.

Likes
Decent formula, non drying
Pigmented
Photogenic
Affordable
Leaves a sheer pink tint
Decent staying power
Travel friendly

Dislikes
Smell
Not Matte
Not available in the Philippines

Rating: 4/5

Nature Republic Almond/Lemon Peeling Gel

 Lemon Peeling Gel
Fresh and moisturizing peeling gel formulated with vitamin C of rich lemon gently removes dead skin cells and impurities.

Almond Peeling Gel
Moisturizing and mild peeling gel with a vitamin E, omega-3 rich almond gently removes dead skin cells and cleans dirt.

Directions
After wash, apply adequate amount evenly on a dry face. Gently massage for 1-2 minutes with lukewarm waster and and and wash off with clean water. Use 1-2 times per week.

See those yellow capsules? That's the vitamin C, i think :P

The problem with this variant is that it is so mild, it doesn't pick up any dead skin. Having tried so many times(with a not so clean face, after cleansing, on my body), this product just won't work on me.
\

Almond, on the other hand, is thicker and has a whitish color.

It works!

Pros:

  • It's affordable, for most people. I think it costs roughly about 295 pesos.
  • It's handy and contains a good amount of product. A 120 ml tube will last you months.
  • It's mild and non-irritating. It does not dry out my skin.
  • The almond variant smells good.
Cons

Lemon Variant
  • It smells like dish soap, Joy Lemon to be exact.
  • It does not rub off my dead skin well enough.
Almond Variant
  • none
Repurchase? Recommend?

Yes, for the almond one. For its price, it's a pretty decent product. I've been using it for two months now and it did help make my skin get softer and smoother. Don't waste your time on the lemon variant. It's not worth it.

What I'm lemming for:

  1. Cure Peeling Gel
  2. Nature Republic Aqua Peeling Gel
  3. Hayan Crystal Oatmeal Peeling Gel
Which do you think should I try out next? Comment below :)

XOXO

Biore Marshmallow Whip Facial Wash

Have you tried bubble foam cleansers before? If not, then let me introduce you my recent beauty find – Biore Marshmallow Facial Whip Cleanser.

Biore Marshmallow Whip Facial Wash gives you instant foam with just 1 pump without the need for lathering! Ultra fine fluffy foam, with bubbles smaller than your pores, penetrates deep into your pores to remove all impurities and dirt effectively yet gently. Collagen-enriched formula moisturizes skin for a baby smooth touch after wash! Suitable for normal or combination skin.

How it works:  This cleanser is designed to give you rich, instant foam with just one pump. Enriched with Collagen and dense micro bubbles, Biore Marshmallow Facial Whip Cleanser can penetrate pores effectively removing dirt and oil while leaving your skin smooth and hydrated.  It is suitable for normal to combination skin.
How to use: Damp skin. Dispense 1-2 pumps of cleanser in hands. Massage gently on to skin and rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. In my case, I like to use it as a facial pack by leaving it on for a couple of minutes before rinsing.
Packaged in a white and pink pump bottle, this cleanser is good for 150 pumps of foam. As per advertisement, the product claims to produce dense, bouncy foam similar to marshmallow fluff that cushions skin. Moreover, the ultra fine bubbles are smaller than pores thus penetrating and cleansing the skin better than hand-lathered foam.
True enough, the pump did produce dense, fluffy foam; however, not as big and bouncy as pictured below.
What was advertised:
What I got: -_-
I like how creamy and frothy it looks – just like real marshmallow fluff! Also, it does not slip off my hands easily even when turned upside down.
Pros:
  • Easy to use
  • Time-saver. No need to lather or use a foam net
  • Light, creamy foam that spreads easily
  • No more tugging and pulling of skin
  • Gentle yet effective cleanser
  • No breakouts!
  • Leaves my skin firm and smooth to the touch
Cons:
  • Not available in local stores
  • You will be needing more than 1-2 pumps
Recommendation: Despite the exaggeration on its advertisement, I recommend this product. It cleanses well yet doesn’t sting my skin. If you want to try something new aside from the typical bar and foam cleansers on the market, then get this if you have the chance.

Snoe Parallel Pigments AKA CC Cream

What makes CC Cream special?

CC cream, also known as Color Control cream, is an improved and refined blemish balm cream or Beauty Balm created and developed in Korea. BB cream was originally formulated in Germany and has in recent years gained a huge following in Asia and is quickly making its way to Europe and the USA for its skin-regenerating properties. CC cream is now also widely used in Asia to provide natural-looking skin coverage. While BB cream was manufactured primarily as a skincare product, CC cream was developed to retain all the skincare benefits of BB cream with added nourishing ingredients and the additional aim to provide more effective skin coverage. CC cream is the newest miracle beauty product available and was formulated with technology originating in industry-leader Japan and further developed in Korea.
The benefits of CC cream is said to include high SPF rating to ensure protection from damaging UVA and UVB rays. It also treats and covers uneven skin tones more effectively and blends with skin tone better than BB creams that sometimes appear too light on certain skin tones. A lighter texture than that of BB cream also allows for smoother application with a less oily finish, while remaining extremely nourishing to the skin. The end effect is said to be surprisingly natural and flawlessly radiant complexion than that of BB cream. -Wikipedia

Wish granted. My family and I went out last night to do some rush Christmas shopping. Mom was in the mood, so she bought me this and a bottle of Emu.tox. Hooray! :) I'm assuming it's her post birthday presents for me. Hehe.

Parallel Pigments CC Cream was developed to retain all the skincare benefits of BB cream with added nourishing ingredients and the additional aim to provide more effective color correction.
Contains:
Banana- provides antioxidant Vitamin C, vitamin B6 and Manganese for healthy skin.
Guava- Vitamin K, C & lycopene to treat skin discoloration, such as dark circles, spider veins, rosacea, acne irritation and overall splotchiness, skin healing and prevention of DNA damage
Acai berry- Most powerful and nutritious fruit in the world. Contains the highest level of antioxidants than any other fruit.

Directions:

Prep skin prior to makeup application. This product can be applied with fingers, brush or sponge onto entire face or in areas requiring correction. Pat or stipple into skin a sheer layer making sure to cover all angles, lines and uneven surfaces before foundation. Set with finishing powder.

Price: 399 pesos for 12g

Comes with a doe-foot applicator for precise application. Now this might be an issue for some as double dipping is unhygienic. It might even affect your makeup's longevity. Personally, it's fine with me. I just hate the fact that I can't maximize a good 'ol product because I can't reach the sides of the tube. :)

Swatching :) I've bought the shade in Honey (covers bluish under-eye circles, bruises, facial veins & birth marks). There are three more shades mainly: Grass (covers red blemishes and blotchy skin), Wheat (gives a subtle glow to dull skin and will boost radiance) and Lavender (brightens sallow skin).

I love how light and fluid the consistency is. It blends and spreads easily too. Correct me if I'm wrong (still a make-up noobie, okay?:P), but the finish is satin. Or maybe semi-dewy.

Testing, testing!! :)

*with one layer, spread on both eye circles :)
Before:

No Make-Up!
After:

Snoe CC Cream + Mineral Foundie (brushed lightly)
*if you've noticed, i'm sort of peeling in some parts of my face :) that's due to my glycolic toner :)
I don't look too much wasted now, do I? Considering the fact that I cried and slept late last night (couple's squabble). Hehehe. I do feel much better now, thanks to this! Make-up therapy <3

Overall Review:

- CC Cream isn't sticky, it's moisturizing but it doesn't make me oily (but too be safe, set with powder or maybe Snoe's Poudre Extraordinaire).
- it did not dry nor crease on my undereyes
-buildable coverage
-no flaking, no patchiness
-THE SMELL! Omg it smells sweet and yummy :P may pagka-amoy banana :)
-it makes my skin radiant
-brightening
- a little goes a long way
-more benefits than bb cream
-the packaging is ok, you can bring it anywhere (it's like a big concealer =))

I'm not sure if I'll be buying Wheat because Honey already did its job! Haha! I might try Lavender and Grass. :) I'll be updating this post a week after, as I will be road testing this baby for a few days to see if there'll be any changes plus. So there.

till next time!!

Have you tried any of Snoe's new products? Comment below! Let's talk! :)

I was supposed to post this a few months ago, I think last October pa unfortunately I forgot the password of my laptop and had to reformat :( <//3 Anyway, enjoy! I'll be uploading more posts soon! Promise! :P

Wow, time flies so fast. I remember accepting a friend request from Krave about a year ago, when it was still starting up its online shop. I said to myself, "Ohh. Very Nice. Another pinay mineral make-up brand." From that point on, I stalked its page. Album per album, blog per blog. Although it took me several months before I got myself a few products to try. Better late than never! :P

Here are the products that I purchased:

Organic Liquid Foundation in Ricotta and Complexion Perfection in Hazelnut

I love how they named the shades after food.

Ingredients:
Aloe barbadensis (Organic Aloe) Juice, Simmondsia chinensis (Organic Jojoba) Oil, Titanium Dioxide, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Mica, Zinc Oxide, Dimethylaminoethanol (DMAE),Limnanthes alba (Meadowfoam) Oil, Daucus carota sativa (Carrot) Oil, Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary Extract)

So cute. So tiny. A tube will probably last you a month.

Swatches:

Too light for my skin tone huh?

Upon blending

It's barely noticeable anymore. :)

Packaging: Packaging is okay. I just think it would be better if the tube had a long, thin nozzle so that I'd have better control over the amount. Plus!! I accidentally dropped mine (clumsy) while I was applying and gush, went the foundation. It spilled over the floor. I nearly cried. There goes 3 ml of my 20 ml product. SAYANG!!!! Grr.

Color: Please do not be turned off by the shade! Haha I know it looks sort of pasty white but I tell you when you're wearing it, it hardly looks noticeable. Au naturale! I recommend you pair it with Krave's mineral foundation. :)

Texture: Light. It is as if you're applying milk to your face :) Although you might have a hard time blending, IF you're too slow in spreading the foundie. But when you blend it well it really looks nice.

Coverage: Sheer - medium; It can conceal minor redness, blemishes here and there. Then again, it's my opinion. It may work for you, but not for me.

Fragrance: Imo, I don't smell anything fishy. Haha. Although I was hoping it did smell a bit sweet because of its skin loving ingredients hehe :P

Oil Control: Considering my combi skin and the environment, it did manage to control oil pretty well. I'm not saying that it's "Oh wow no oil, oh my gosh I'm oil free" because seriously there's no such thing as completely oil free here. You know how humid it is here in Manila :(

Finish: Matte. I love how this alone can brighten my skin without looking dewy.

Complexion Perfection in Hazelnut - Php 255 (3g)

Protect and beautify your complexion with one of our superb micro-formulated mineral foundation formulas with the benefit of chemical-free sun protection while giving you a flawless, air-brushed appearance. This product is so pure that applying less is more. Oil Balancing foundation. Broad spectrum SPF.
All ingredients are carefully chosen for purity. Full-coverage sunscreen to protect and nourish delicate skin while offering the coverage and matte finish for a beautiful poreless perfect complexion without experiencing any skin irritation.

Application:
Shake the jar and dab your brush in a swirling motion, tap it to remove excess powder & apply to your face in circular motion until desired coverage is achieved.

Why hello there :)

Open sesame!

Swatch:

Close enough.

Coverage: Medium, buildable coverage

Fragrance: None

Oil Control: Good oil control :)

Before and after photos upon using both products:

Bare face, after shower and drying of hair haha I know I look weird </3

All made up and ready to go out!
Products used:

Krave Organic Liquid Foundation
Krave Complexion Perfection Mineral Foundation
In2it Lip and Cheek Tint

Don't you just love the finish?  Natural, poreless, bright, and breathable :)
Plus there's no sticky feeling!
No caking!

Love love my krave products <3

Better than bb cream. Definitely more beneficial than bb cream :)

My skin feels happy, health and radiant.

And that's my daily make up! I rarely shape and shade my brows, nor do I put on any trace of eye make up. Of course there are times that I do want to look like a head turner or an asian doll, but I feel better and more of myself with less on.

Repurchase? Yes! I will definitely buy more products :) Next on my list is the concealer! And maybe the Panacea oil too! I am definitely recommending Krave to you guys! :)

Craving too?

Check out their Facebook page here! You will find a lot of beautiful girls who all agree with me - Krave is love<3

Have you tried any of Krave's products? Tell me! Comment below :)
Leave your links btw if you want me to follow back :) let's follow each other! :)

What is your acne telling you?

Remember Arizona Julie Theroux' saying?

"A person’s face is like an open book; you can read their entire personality profile."

Apparently, you can also find out what is wrong with your internal organs, just by looking at your pimples. Could this possibly be true?

Here are two face maps for you to decide on.

Acne location and related possible problems:

Location: Forehead
Possible problem: Heart and small intestine
Suggestion: Eat heat-dispelling foods such as lotus seeds soup to get rid of heat in the heart; have enough sleep, control your temper and maintain a good mood.

Location: Between the eyebrows
Possible problem: Heart
Suggestion: Avoid intense physical exercise and over-fatigue; maintain a good mood.

Location: Tail of brows
Possible problem: Gallbladder
Suggestion: Eat less greasy foods and have more heat-dispelling foods such as bitter cucumber.

Location: Nose
Possible problem: Stomach and digestive system
Suggestion: Eat less "hot" foods and more plain foods that can help dispel pathogenic heat such as green beans.

Location: Bridge of nose
Possible problem: Spinal column
Suggestion: Don't sit for too long; stretch your body often.

Location: Side of the nose wings and between the nose and mouth
Possible problem: Reproductive system
Suggestion: Check and treat the problem such as regulating menstrual period.

Location: Right cheek
Possible problem: Lungs and large intestine
Suggestion: Eat more foods that help nourish the lungs such as pear and white fungus; eat less seafood, tropical fruits and drink less alcohol.

Location: Left cheek
Possible problem: Liver and gallbladder
Suggestion: Eat less greasy foods and have more vegetables and fruit and have enough sleep.

Location: Corner of mouth
Possible problem: Intestines
Suggestion: Eat less "hot" foods and move bowels regularly.

Location: Chin
Possible problem: Kidney and internal secretion
Suggestion: Eat more plain foods than stimulating foods like spicy, fried or greasy ones. Take enough rest.

What Christine Says:

I usually have pimples on my t-zone area, indicating that I will/may have problems with my heart, kidney and liver. Although I already have lung and heart ailments. Coincidence much? ;)

Then again, it could contribute to my oily t-zone.

Whether this is true or not, it's always best to take good care of our body! Let us not just focus on physical appearance. What's the sense of admirable beauty when you're pale and sickly? Remember, health is wealth. :)
You may want to try following the suggestions.

I hope you guys find this information useful!
